- Est. Completion Date 2024
- Budget $160M
- Scale 50,000 SF
The Ocean Pavilion is the next step in the Aquarium’s 20-year strategic plan. The new space will make room for continually increasing attendance as well as acting as a centerpiece showcasing the Seattle Aquarium’s mission to promote the conservation of the ocean. One of the keystone projects currently transforming the Seattle Waterfront – this new construction will serve as part of the revitalization of the waterfront and will help to reconnect the City of Seattle to the Salish Sea. The Pavilion will include a spectacular 350,000-gallon warm-water tank, with paths offering a rising view of the exhibit. The project is targeting LEED Gold certification and will ensure accessibility to the exhibit for all visitors.
