Creating Healthy Communities
- Completion Date 2019
- Scale 157,000 SF
Construction began in February 2017 on the new Multnomah County Health Department headquarters just east of Bud Clark Commons in the Old Town/Chinatown neighborhood. The nine-story structure is LEED Gold certified and includes a public lobby, pharmacy and waiting area, clinics and associated support spaces, as well as workplaces for the Health Department’s administrative and public health functions. The new headquarters replaced the previous Health Department on SW Stark and was designed to consolidate scattered divisions — bringing to fruition a plan that the County has had for decades.
